Midnight Order - The Medium's Eye

The first step in the book calls for a spirit bond with the one who wishes to perform the ritual.

Thus calls for a visit with an Ouija Wytch, which one is present, hidden in many chambers of the school.

The calling requires an item from the parted to form a communication, in which the final bloodied note was useful, placed upon the spirit board.

And the Ouija Wytch extends one of her peculiar wooden hand to the person, to start the séance.

A breath, and another, the wooden hand was received and at once the ritual begun.

Silently, the Necromancer grins

Salvage Station - Languish

"A cold blast of wintry cruelness blew into her tiny metal shelter hobbled together of the few thing left intact in the god-forsaken frozen wasteland. Although she knew it was dangerous, lighting a fire could attract killers or rapists, but it was Christmas Eve damn it. What did she have to live for, all alone like this? She built a twig tree and hung makeshift ornaments on it.

Happy memories of her childhood living along the banks of the Mississippi came flooding back. She knelt before twig tree, set it on fire, and prayed, “Papa Noel, …with this light I call to you. Bring kindness to a lost soul on this special night.”

The warmth against her cold exposed flesh felt good. Would this be the last fire she would ever enjoy, or by some miracle would a companion come to rescue her from this loneliness?"

Engine Room - Senescence

"Senescence or biological aging is the gradual deterioration of functional characteristic in living organisms. The word senescence can refer to either cellular senescence or to senescence of the whole organism."

To be in power longer...

The Society must be terrified of senescence and very desperate to find me, one of the last remaining Time Wytch. And what to make of their man? He was peculiar inventor who thought he could could infuse the Time Magick with his inventions. So arrogant, and tinkering with things beyond his comprehension.

I admit, I was intrigued. And very much swayed by the pretty pennies offered for my silence and cooperation. More if the commission was a success. No expense was spared by the society. Quite commendable

However, when the portal burst alive, it was not what we intended.

I suppose a more important question is, What did the portal open?

Chaos?
